Report on Live webinar on “Dissolution testing of formulation: A Regulatory, Industry and Academic perspective” on 12th June 2021

Live Webinar on “Dissolution testing of formulation: A Regulatory, Industry and Academic perspective”was organized by School of Pharmacy at Rai University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 12th June 2021 between 02:00pm to 03:00pm. Dr. Khushbu Patel Assistant Professor, Rai School of Sciences welcomed Dr. Dhaval Madat (Mamlatdar& Assistant Magistrate at Malpur, Arvalli District and Former Assistant Professor from reputed Government Pharmacy College).

He conducted a talk with students in which he delivered valuable knowledge about dissolution and disintegration parameters which are useful for pharma industries. Students of Pharmacy as well as researchers from various states from India had participated. Objective of webinar is to get knowledge regarding dissolution. Drug dissolution testing plays an important role as a routine quality control test for characterizing the quality of the product and accepting product sameness under SUPAC (Scale-Up and Post-Approval Changes) related changes in order to waive bio equivalence requirements for lower strengths of a dosage form and to support waivers for other bio equivalence requirements. The guidance of dissolution developed by the regulating agencies provides recommendations on the development of dissolution test methodology on how to set the specifications for dissolution testing.
