Report on “Gender Equality in Current Era”

Webinar on “Gender Equality in Current Era” was organized by Gender Champion Club, Rai University, Ahmedabad on 7th September, 2021 at 10:00 AM. All the students as well as faculties of Rai University had participated in the webinar. Objective of the webinar was to spread awareness of Gender Equality by promoting Women Empowerment. Mr. Mrugesh Shah (Training and Placement Officer, Rai University) welcomed Dr. Archana Gadekar (Associate Professor, Department of Law, MS University, Vadodara). More than 150 participants had attended the webinar. She talked about the importance of women in society in the current era and how women have succeeded in various fields.

She focused on promoting women empowerment by giving certain examples of successful women and also explained how women are to be considered equal with men. She discussed different cases which took place in the past and how Supreme Courts and High Court gave the judgements in favour of women for their safety and prestige. Women are the foundation in the creation of society and they must not be underrated. In the current era, women are working on higher designations in different organizations giving an example of managing work responsibilities along with personal responsibilities. In fact, in some of the fields women are ahead of men where they have shown exemplary leadership skills. Dr. Archana Gadekar also shared opinions given by some well known experts on women empowerment and its importance in bringing equality of gender and its usefulness.

Dr. Nita Solanki (Head of Department, School of Law, Rai University) delivered a vote of thanks. She thanked Dr. Archana Gadekar for giving important insights on gender equality. She thanked Dr. Anil Tomar (Provost, Rai University) for giving an opportunity to conduct this webinar. She also thanked Prof. Veerendra Singh Nagoria (Deputy Registrar, Rai University) for his help and support for this webinar.
