Stylistic Success: Crafting Your Career in Designing on 25th April 2024
On April 25, 2024, Rai University’s Career Guidance Cell hosted an enriching session titled “Stylistic Success: Crafting Your Career in Designing,” attracting 51 students and 4 faculty members. The event aimed to shed light on the myriad career opportunities within the design sector. The distinguished speaker, Mr. Dinkar Kumawat, Head of Department and Assistant Professor at Rai School of Design, began by exploring the multifaceted nature of design and its significant influence across various industries.
Mr. Kumawat guided the participants through the diverse streams of design, from graphic and fashion design to interior and industrial design, emphasizing their unique roles and relevance in modern society. He provided an insider’s view of professional design practices, revealing the creative processes and innovative methodologies employed by designers. A major highlight was the detailed exploration of career pathways, showcasing opportunities in design firms, entrepreneurship, and freelancing. The session underscored the importance of mastering design tools like Sketch and InVision, understanding design principles, and gaining proficiency in the Adobe creative suite, HTML, and social media branding.
