Educational Visit Celebrating International Forestry Day on 21st March 2025

To commemorate International Forestry Day, the Rai School of Sciences, Rai University, organized an Educational Visit to The Serenity Library & Botanical Garden, Ahmedabad, on 21st March 2025. The visit was a unique blend of nature appreciation and intellectual exploration, giving students the opportunity to engage with both the natural world and literary heritage.

Held in the tranquil surroundings of The Serenity Garden, the visit provided a refreshing and educational break from the traditional classroom setting. Students explored a wide variety of plant species, gaining a deeper understanding of biodiversity, forest conservation, and ecological balance. Guided tours through the garden introduced them to the significance of native and medicinal plants, as well as the broader environmental challenges related to deforestation and climate change.

In addition to the botanical exploration, students spent time at The Serenity Library, a quiet space dedicated to reading, reflection, and literary engagement. Here, they were encouraged to explore books related to environmental science, forestry, and global conservation efforts. The dual focus of the visit nurtured not only academic curiosity but also a sense of eco-literacy and cultural sensitivity.

The visit also featured interactive discussions, where students reflected on the role of forests in maintaining global ecological health and the responsibility of future generations in protecting natural resources. These exchanges encouraged critical thinking and built a greater sense of environmental stewardship.

The Educational Visit celebrating International Forestry Day was a valuable experience that brought together science, sustainability, and literature in a harmonious learning environment. It reinforced Rai University’s vision of experiential learning, where students gain not only knowledge but also awareness, empathy, and responsibility toward the natural world.
