Industrial Visit ALLIES CONTAINERS LLP Miroli, Ahmedabad on 19th March 2025

On March 19, 2025, students from the Rai School of Management Studies, Rai University, had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and into the world of real-time manufacturing during an industrial visit to Allies Container LLP, located in Miroli. The visit was part of Rai University’s ongoing efforts to link academic knowledge with practical, industry-based learning.

Welcomed warmly by the company’s team, the visit began with an introductory session led by Mr. Preet Patel, Global Head of Sales, who gave students a glimpse into the company’s journey, product portfolio, and its leading role in biodegradable industrial packaging. The facility, known for manufacturing durable and eco-friendly drums used across the pharmaceutical, automotive, and industrial sectors, became a learning ground for the students to explore various domains of manufacturing, automation, logistics, and sustainability.

The day unfolded through a guided tour of the plant’s core operational units, where students witnessed the end-to-end manufacturing process—starting from raw material inspection to final packaging and dispatch. At the cutting and shaping unit, they observed CNC machines in action, slicing steel sheets into precise dimensions. The forming and welding sections showcased the integration of robotic arms for seamless, leak-proof drum construction, while the surface treatment and coating units demonstrated how chemical processes and automated booths are used to ensure corrosion resistance and finish quality.

In the quality control department, students were introduced to rigorous testing protocols, including leakage, drop, and pressure tests, all crucial in maintaining product integrity. The visit also included insights into supply chain operations, with detailed overviews of raw material procurement, inventory handling, and finished goods logistics.

One of the key themes of the visit was sustainability. Students learned how Allies Container LLP integrates biodegradable materials, recycles waste, and uses environmentally friendly coatings—reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices in industrial production.

Throughout the visit, students engaged in interactive discussions with industry professionals who shared their knowledge about manufacturing trends, operational challenges, and career opportunities in domains like production, quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain management.

The experience was not just educational but also inspirational. It gave students a real-world perspective on how large-scale industrial operations are managed efficiently through a combination of technology, planning, and precision. Observing these systems in motion deepened their understanding of concepts taught in class and offered a clearer view of how those concepts translate into industry practice.

The visit to Allies Container LLP proved to be a memorable and impactful learning experience, equipping students with insights that will serve them well as future professionals. It reinforced Rai University’s belief in experiential learning and its commitment to preparing students for success beyond academics.
