In order to enhance students’ practical knowledge stimulation and to let them having an overview on the activity related to managing of various operations in relation to manage production, management students visited to Ramdev Food Products Private Limited, Changodar plant on 22nd November, 2019. The Ramdev Food Products Private Limited was established in the year of 1965. Ramdev Food Products Private Limited is one of India’s leading spice brands which were laid in a very modest manner. Late Rambhai Chhaganbhai Patel was founder of Ramdev Food Products Private Limited. Ramdev is a renowned brand across India in the world of spices. The brand Ramdev has been a pioneer in many food related offerings ranging from basic masala’s to instant mixes. In 2016 Ramdev took another significant step in diversifying its portfolio by entering the ‘snack foods’ segment. Ramdev has launched a mouth watering range of snacks food like wafers, Namkeens and Fryums in a range of flavors. An introductory session was conducted by Mr. Amit Patel (Marketing Executive) & Mr. Hiren Shah (Head of Production and Operational Management) who provided very useful information about Ramdev Food Products Private Limited followed by the highlights of a number of production process, working of supply chains and how the production is done on a ‘zero-waste’ methodology. The visit gave a practical overview of Inventory Management, Marketing Management, Personnel Management, Training Sessions for the employees, Billing System, Accounting System, Layout & Space Management, Channels of Distribution as well as Manufacturing Process. The visit was planned for the students of BBA & MBA accompanied by the Faculty-coordinators- Assistant Professor Nidhi Naithani and Assistant Professor Rinku Patel. We are genuinely thankful to the management of both the Industries for extending their valuable support and giving us this memorable learning opportunity.
