The existence and successful survival of ‘Democracy’ in such diverse conditions is the most celebrated fact about our country and constitution is its backbone. To reinforce the significance and importance of constitution the government of India declared 26th of November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification in remembrance of the Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. B R Ambedkar.
The occasion was also celebrated in the premises of Rai University with all its solemnity. It was marked by the conduct of a ‘gathering’ of the Students & Staff members of the University. The celebration started with very apt words mentioning about the importance of the Constitution Day, Republic Day and Independence Day by Prof. Nita Solanki (Head of Department, School of Law). Further it was followed by an oath on preamble of Indian Constitution taken by the Students and all the Staff members of University.
After then we had arranged the live glimpse of the session in our campus for the Students and Staff members directly from Rajya Sabha describing the culmination of the ceremony started with – a speech on our constitution Day by President, Vice President and Prime Minister which took us on a journey of our constitution from its history to its present day, explaining its vital role to provide rights to every Indian Citizen. At last the Event was ended with the National Anthem in the presence of all the students and Staff members.
