Rai University was established in 2012 under the Gujarat Private University Act by the Government of Gujarat. Recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) , the University is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in recognition of its commitment to excellence in higher education. The University’s continuous efforts toward quality education, research, and innovation have been acknowledged through star ratings from the Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework (GSIRF) , Government of Gujarat, and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) , Ministry of Education, Government of India, for three consecutive years. Since its establishment, Rai University has remained at the forefront of academic innovation, multidisciplinary research, and industry-integrated learning.

The Rai School of Engineering, a constituent of Rai University, Ahmedabad , was established around 2013 , following the university’s founding in 2012 by the Rai Foundation . In 2013, the University introduced the SEAS (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) programs to provide technical and applied science education through an industry-oriented curriculum. The school was established with the vision of delivering industry-focused engineering education and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills. Initially, it offered core engineering branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering . Over time, it expanded into computer applications and specialized fields us like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security . With a strong emphasis on practical learning, research, and innovation, the institution evolve to focus on modern technological domains, preparing students to meet the demands of the rapidly changing engineering and IT industries.
