Field visits are recognized as important moments in learning a shared social and industrial experience that provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore new things in an authentic setting. Research has demonstrated that field trips can be designed to more effectively support student learning.
The students from School of Agricultural, Sem III and VII visited Main Rice Research Centre Navagaam, Kheda along with the faculty members Dr. P.S.Patel, Dr. V.J. Patel and Dr. Mayur parajapati on 29th August, 2017 organized by Rai University. More than 70 students visited the center. The students were divided into two groups so that, the representative could explain them meticulously.
Main Rice Research Centre is working under Anand Agricultural University. The students were given a close look at some of the important operations that are regarding Rice with Package of Practices of, Selection of Varieties, Seed Treatment, Sowing Time, Land Preparation, Fertilizer Application and lot more. Students were finally shown the museum of center. To conclude the visit vote of thanks were given by the university faculties to all staff of the centre for giving such useful information in vigor and make arrangements for the visit at centre.
