Annual Convocation
Convocation Day is the highlight of a student’s life as it marks the culmination of their academic life.

Wearing the traditional academic regalia and walking up the stage is the dream of every student in front of his/her colleagues, friends and family members who have supported them in their difficult endeavour. It is a defining moment in every student’s life giving his self-esteem a boost

Rai University organises convocation annually to confer degrees and awards of gold medals concerning such degrees to its students. In addition, the University accords prime importance to the convocations as a means to acknowledge, appreciate and award the endeavours of the students.

Special Convocation
Rai University organizes special Convocation for the purpose of conferring Honoris Causa (Honorary Degree) to distinguished person’s contributions to a specific field or to society in general.

An honorary doctoral degree is often awarded in recognition of one’s life experiences. It is denoted by the letters ‘H.C.’ which is an abbreviation for ‘Honoris Causa’ (Latin for ‘for the sake of honor’).

An Honorary Degree may be awarded to an individual who has achieved acknowledged eminence in cultural affairs, in public service, or in a field of knowledge and scholarship. In all cases, reasonable endowments are expected from prospective honorees.

Honorary Doctorate Degrees are awarded by Rai University to leaders of national and international eminence in their areas of endeavour, recognizing their substantial achievement and contributions in the arts, Management, Science and Technology, Education, Public Service, Humanitarian Pursuits, Leadership, and Civil rights.

The Honorary degree is the highest award conferred by the Rai University. Throughout its rich history, Rai University has awarded many renowned personalities who have served to nation and society at large. We celebrate and salute all the Honourees.
