Continuing with the proud, the most awaited and memorable event- The cultural fest of Rai University, Ahmedabad finally arrived. The cultural fest – Raizing 2K19 is a 2 days event for all to enjoy and relive their lives. The 1st day of the event commenced on 29th March 2019 at the auditorium. In this mega event, many of the students participated very enthusiastically.
Soon after the Saraswati Pooja the ‘Soulful Vibes’, a singing competition began and the judges for the same were Mr. Karan Patel, (Singer and Guitarist- Meghdhanush Band); Mr. Deepak Suthar (Actor) and Mr. Abhilash Shah (Actor).
It is believed that, music binds our soul, heart and emotions. Students expressed their soulful vibes and talent through different songs. Audience even enjoyed the songs sung by the judges. There were extraordinary performances by the students which touched the strings of everyone’s mind. In this merger of feelings with fun, Nikunj Savaliya claimed the 1st position.
In making people smile is an art, but making people laugh is one of the greatest art, Anuj Jalani gave a deep bass of guffaw to the audience and was announced as the winner for ‘Last Laugh’ stand up comedy event.
Payal Kumari bagged the 1st prize for ‘Labz-E-Gulzar’, a Sher-O-Shayari event where the couplets were very brilliantly portrayed by her and made the audience fall in love with the words.
The post lunch event, “Dezire to Dance” began with the welcome of judges Ms. Manny Raval (Actress & Singer) and Mr. Maulik Chauhan (Actor). The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun filled extravaganza offered folk dances, Garba, hip hop, salsa, break dance, and many more. The uses of props were made fantastically by all the performers. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Raians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. The adjudicators highly complimented the efforts put in by all the contestants. In the closely contested competition, Mamta Ode and Anuj Jalani shared the 1st position for solo dance performance, and the group RDX-5 won the 1st position in group dance performance.
Simultaneously different games, short film competition, survival of the fittest and painting competition were also been conducted at different venues in the campus. These all competitions also received a great response by the students. Each participant showed their mastery in their own way.
Expressing your story on canvas and reaching out to people is a very lovely art; winner for painting competition was ‘Ingenious Artist’ who actually brought meaning to the world of colors. The winners for counter strike competition were ‘Team 7’. The winner for survival of fittest went to Darshan Nakrani. A short film by Ms. Vani Bhatt ‘Parchhai’ won the title of The Best Short Film. She portrayed her short film in the most innovative way on the theme of woman ambitions. Short films were judged by Mr. Abhilash Shah and Mr. Deepak Suthar from the film industry.
Prof. Anil Tomar, Deputy Provost, Rai University, Ahmedabad felicitated the Judges and extended his gratitude for sparing their valuable time for the Cultural Fest Raizing 2K19.
The day 1 of the event ended with Happiness of students which was amply evident with Applause and appreciations.

Continuing with the proud tradition, the students of Rai University, Ahmedabad, got together to celebrate the day 2 of the Cultural Fest- RaiZing 2K19 i.e. Fresher’s event, to welcome the new students to University. Senior students and newcomers of the University mingled with each other at the fresher’s event held on 30th March, 2019 in the auditorium of university.
Soon after the inauguration, the program started with lot of entertainment by seniors and juniors students with dancing and singing. Band of Rai University, Infinite Lollipops started with a big bang and enthralled the students of Rai University with their music and let the audience on their toes.
In the presence of ‘Bas Cha Sudhi’ Team including Mirchi Rj Ruhan, Dhrushma Doshi, Hiren Doshi, Priyal Patel, Rahul Ramesh, Sandip Dave, the season finale episode of ‘Bas Cha Sudhi’ web series broadcasted from the platform of Rai University Ahmedabad’s cultural fest RaiZing 2K19. The launch was rejoiced extremely by the audience.
Royal Rajputanas group performed a wonderful sword dance which was an eye catcher thing and it literally gave Goosebumps to the crowd. The enormously talented Mukesh Rajpurohit’s special song performance made the crowd go crazy behind his songs. Top FM’s RJ Saloni and RJ Saurabh also entertained the audience by their comic sense.
The most Fantastic part that lied ahead was the stunning fashion show, organized with 16 contestants for the ‘Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2019’ title. Ms. Pauravi Joshi (Costume Designer and Actress), Mr. Jaimil Joshi (Fashion Choreographer) and Mrs. Drushma Doshi (Founder of Astha production) were the judges for ‘Mr & Ms Fresher’ contest.
The contest included an elite ramp walk by the contestants, which defined the style statement and the confidence of every contestant. The expressiveness of the students was remarkable. Tricky questions were asked by the judges to find the Mr. Fresher and Ms. Fresher and the students stood up to the expectations of the judges. Every participant gave his level best performance. It was a fun filled event at which the fresher’s got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents and but also to interact with the seniors. At the end of the very enjoyable competition, Ms. Bansari Rajyaguru was crowned as ‘Ms. Fresher 2019’ and Mr. Bhavik Ptomy as ‘Mr. Fresher 2019’.
The limitless efforts put by Reevot Team were highly recognized and appreciated by the University. The limelight was put on their endeavour. The sponsors and judges were felicitated by University for their kind support and the victory of RaiZing 2K19.
At the end there was EDM the most ravishing Dance night where grooving on the beats was real joy. Finally the program ended, leaving behind sweet memories that will be cherished lifelong.
