Navratri is a Hindu festival celebrated in the autumn every year. It is observed for various reasons and celebrated differently in various parts of the Indian subcontinent.
In Gujarat, Navratri is a community event, where people perform Garbas on devotional songs that are popular by the names of ‘Dandiya Raas’ and ‘Garba Raas’, and perform Jaagran (waking through the night), to please the Goddess. Gujarat is a favorite pilgrim for devotees during Navratri.
With an aim to spread joy and happiness, Rai University, Ahmedabad had organized Garba as Navratri Celebration on the first day of Navratri i.e. 10th October 2018.
