Industry Visit- The Gujarat Laboratory – 14th April 2016- Corporate Resource Cell

The Corporate Resource Cell of Rai University organized a visit to The Gujarat Laboratory with a vision to help the students to understand “spin a new way” to success. The students of B.Sc. Microbiology /Biotechnology/Biochemistry & B.Tech Biotechnology Semester IV were the prime beneficiaries of this visit. Mr. Hasmukh Amin represented the acclaimed brand name of the “The Gujarat Laboratory”.

The Gujarat Laboratory is an ISO certified government approved laboratory for testing of various samples including Pharmaceuticals, Food, and Water etc. It’s is headquartered in Madhavpura market Shahibagh, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Quality control and assurance department of The Gujarat Laboratory works for various instrument techniques like HPLC, AAS, GC and AAS and working system of Industry. It also includes Tests for Drugs Tests for Surgical Dressing, Tests for Drugs requiring instrumental Analysis, Tests for Drugs requiring Microbiological testing, Tests for Disinfectants, Tests for Antibiotics, Tests for Vitamins, Tests for Endotoxins.

The objectives of the visit were to make the students familiar with working of microbiological analysis of Pharmaceutical and food, HPLC, GC and AAS. To help the helped students to understand the various instrument techniques and working system of Industry

The visit was initiated by visiting the Quality control department and Quality assurance department. Students know about the testing of different products; and also learnt how they test these different products and use of different instrument techniques. Student learnt testing of water, food product and chemicals testing; Microbiological Testing, Drug & Cosmetic Testing, etc.

The visit was concluded with a small question and answers session aimed at guiding the students towards a career in the microbiological analysis field. The students gave a good glimpse of their knowledge during the question and answer session and appreciated the overall visit and knowledge gained during the entire visit.
