Industrial Visit – Texspin Bearings – 3rd October, 2015 – Corporate Resource Cell

Rai University has always believed in maximizing Industrial Exposure to students across all streams. Taking this aim in mind, the Corporate Resource Cell recently organized an Industrial Visit. The students belonging to B. Tech. SEM V & Diploma SEM V Mechanical Engineering were the prime beneficiaries of this visit
 
Texspin bearing Ltd. was established in 1961 by Honorable Founder and Chairman, Mr. Chunilal Makwana. He started out by manufacturing bearings primarily for the textile industry and this was how the company’s name, ‘Textile Spinning’ originated. Subsequently, he entered the business in the early 1970s and very quickly managed to change the direction of the business. The different product of Texspin bearing are clutch bearing, transmission bearing, suspension bearing, wheel & tapper bearing, engine bearing, steering bearing and different.
 
The main objective of this visit was to explain how the manufacturing of bearings and different automobile parts with chain of different engineering department. It also aimed at enhancing the student knowledge in particular engineering department in manufacturing industries.
 
The tour was initiated by giving a brief overview of the rules and regulations to be followed by the students and an informative video about safety precautions and practices followed by the staff and workers. The students were shown the actual working of the Tool room, heat treatment, machine shop, grinding (CG/DG-center less grinding/duplex grinding, EPG- external plunge grinding, IPG-internal plunge grinding). The students were also shown work Flow process of bearing manufacturing right from the Arrival of raw material to finish product.
 
The students received updated real time knowledge on Working and application of different types of bearing, working of the machineries used in bearing manufacturing and Parameters to be considered for manufacturing.
