The visit also aimed to present the students with opportunities to plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. The students till now had only seen cranes in pictures and diagrams in the classroom. But here they were actually shown an idea of the various types of cranes, the practical process of how cranes are assembled, various welding process done during production of Industrial Cranes, Actual Testing and test run of cranes.
The students learned about how practically production, assembling and testing of crane is done along with the systematic demonstration of welding and gas cutting equipments which form a crucial know-how for aspiring engineers. To summarize, it was a very productive and informative visit.
