The Corporate Resource Cell organized a great knowledge sharing session as they invited Mr. Prince Dabhi from John Whitehat Ethical Hacking Institute on 29th September 2015. The students of B.Tech –IT semester-5, Diploma – CSE-IT semester-3; MCA & B.Sc. – CSE were the target audience for this lecture.
Mr. Prince Dabhi is the founder of his organization John Whitehat Ethical Hacking Institute which specializes in training Btech CS Students on Ethical Hacking and he possesses professional qualifications relateing to the field of RHCSA, RHCE, CEH, Advance Kali Linux, Visualization certified Professional. He specializes his area of expertise in Red Hat Server Administration, RHCSA certified, RHCE certified, CEH certified.
The speaker started his discussion with an energized welcome to the students and engaged in a discussion mode and hit the mark straight with the explanation of Linux Server Administration. He touched swiftly yet efficiently configuring static routes, packet filtering, and network address translation, Setting kernel runtime parameters, configuring an Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) initiator.
The second part of the lecture involved a large amount of multiple small topics including the likes of creation and use virtual machines Installation of RHEL 7 in KVM/Virtual Box, Basic Unix commands – Files and directory handling create and Edit text files with vim canage local Linux users and groups, Control access to files with file system permissions, Control access to files with access control lists (ACL), Add disks, partitions, and file systems to a Linux system.
The students of IT received a lot of encouragement based on the lively discussion and great examples on Networking Technology which motivated many of them to think about a career as a Certified Ethical Hacker and many of them even raised some queries regarding a career in Hacking.
