The Corporate Resource Cell (CRC) organized a guest lecture to make the students understand regarding the role of corporate social responsibility and its usage as an effective tool on 11th March, 2015. The students of BBA and MBA Final Semester benefited from the session. The topic of the session was “How CSR is used in marketing or advertising”.
Mr. Viral Master is an accomplished senior management professional with 7 years of cross functional experience with well-known organizations of Strategic Planning, Liaison & Coordination, Project Management and Sales & Marketing. He is currently designated at Senior Manager – Sales – Gujarat at Graffiti India.
The speaker initiated the lecture on a positive note and began with the explanation of the topic of Corporate Responsibility. After asking for some views on the topic, the speaker carefully explained the concept of corporate social responsibility along with the help of some wonderful and inspiring slides. The speaker then explained how corporate social responsibility is used as an effective marketing tool to enhance credibility and raise a positive image of corporate in modern business. He then took the session ahead on a steady flow from corporate responsibility to brand positioning. He explained how companies use tag lines and promos to enhance the effectiveness of their brands and make a unique position for themselves. He also added on how branding plays an important part in boosting the sales of an organization indirectly and its contribution to the effectiveness of the company’s bottom line.
The students could clear a lot of concepts on marketing and branding and got a fantastic overview of the branding strategies and the use of corporate social responsibility as an important asset in branding.
