“The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.” – Bill Gates. The quote proved apt when The Corporate Resource Cell Rai University arranged a great knowledge sharing session. Mr. Priyank Savan had been invited to share his expertise on recent scenario in Industrial Automation and Operating system of PLC and SCADA. The Guest lecture session was divided into pre and post lunch and the students of Diploma & B. Tech Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Semester III, V & VII were benefited of this session.
Mr. Priyank Savan has over 10 years of work experience. He has pursued his Master of Technology in Instrumentation & control segment. The guest lecture began with an introduction of Mr. Priyank Savan given by Prof. Jatin Savaliya HOD of Department of Electrical Engineering & Prof. Asif Mafat HOD of Department of Mechanical Engineering. All the respective academic staff members of Department of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering were present in the session.
The speaker began the lecture with the discussion of recent scenario in Industrial Automation and overview of PLC. During the session, Mr. Priyank Savan discussed different types of PLC, its Operation, SCADA overview and Hardware setup and PLC controlling in Automation Industries from remote location. He also shared an example of Fixed Automation working plant to the students & hence students got better conceptual understanding. The speaker also emphasized students to take training of in PLC and SCADA. Lastly, the speaker concluded the lecture by using PLC and SCADA software in Automation Industry is a quick and fast operation so; production increases and labor charges decreases, as well as efficiency of plant should also increase.
Mr. Priyank Savan guided the students about its present demand and future possibilities in the market. The gesture earned a thunderous round of applause from students and faculties. All the students learnt and clarified many technical concepts during this productive guest lecture session.
