Guest Lecture – Prakshal InfoTech Pvt. Ltd – Technical Head – Mr. Parag Patel – 21st February 2015 – Corporate Resource Cell

In order to broaden the student’s perspective and enrich their knowledge, the Corporate Resource Cell organized a guest lecture on the topic of Ethical Hacking and Mr. Parag Patel, Technical Head at Prakshal InfoTech Pvt. Ltd. agreed to share his insights on the topic with the students of B. Tech (CSE), Diploma (CS/IT), B.sc (CS) & MCA.
 
Mr. Parag Patel is a dynamic & versatile professional with two years of experience across the Industry. He also has a technical proficiency in Hardware, Networking, Windows 7 Fundamentals, MCSA & MCITP, CCNA and RedHat Linux 5 and RHEL-6. He also has a good knowledge of Installation of Layered panel on UNIX and Linux systems, mail server like postfix, send mail, configuration of switches (1900. 2950) and routers (2500) series, layered 2 switching 3550 series also. He is certified RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engg.), MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engg.), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
 
The interaction was brought to the floor by the speaker with some basic information about IT and the first topic floored was regarding the concept of hacking, process of hacking and ways to stop hacking. In the course of his session, he discussed Hacking, explained cracking and getting IP of any website, getting hosting detail of website, and different types of hackers.
 
The speaker then talked a bit further regarding various IT Certifications and their importance in shaping one’s career as an IT Professional. He cited some examples regarding how to get IP of website and Hosting Detail. He showed a live demonstration of Google Hacking Technique for searching more accurately and speedy information. The session was very informative and useful.
