The very first guest lecture with the onset of new semester was organized for BBA and MBA students by the Corporate Resource Cell (CRC) Team on 20th August, 2014.
At Rai University, Ahmedabad, emphasis is given on not only making students academically brilliant, but true leaders and team players, thus preparing them for the real life corporate world. This is done by inviting people from industries and top institutions to provide valuable information to our students.
Mr. Shyamlal Sharma, Regional Manager – Sales and Marketing at Tata Motors, shared his understanding of Trends in Marketing and Branding. Mr. Shyamlal Sharma has more than eight years of experience in Sales & Marketing / Key Account Management in Automobile & FMCG sector. He explained the basics of Marketing, Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning and how this concept creates success stories as well as failures. He also emphasized on 4Ps of Marketing and there effect on branding of a product. Current and future trends of marketing were discussed in depth during the lecture. He also urged the students to be active on social media as it is becoming an important tool for marketing and those who want to pursue a career in advertising or branding has to un-tap the potential of social media for their success. The lecture was concluded by a question answer session where students actively participated and asked their doubts.
