The modern age is an age of technologies and electronic gadgets like mobile phones, tablets and laptop PCs are the fastest source of information at our finger tips. Mr. G.C. Jain the founder of Modern Communication & Broadcast Systems (MCBS Technologies) was the key note speaker at the guest lecture on the topic ‘Trends in design, development and manufacturing Electronics product’ organized by the corporate resource cell for the students of B.Tech (EC) & B. Tech (EEE) on 13th February, 2015.
Mr. G.C. Jain completed his M.E. (Advanced Electronics) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1971. He has worked closely with renowned Scientists Dr.Vikram A. Sarabhai, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (Former President of India), Prof. Satish Dhawan & Prof. Yashpal. He has been responsible for R&D activities in Video & Image Processing, Communication & Broadcasting and developed many complex technologies such as low power solid State TV Transmitters (100 watts), Close Circuit TV Systems for rocket launch.
In the course of his lecture, Mr. Jain highlighted the evolution of electronics from meager initiations to modern day electronics. He also cited some interesting trends in modern electronics. He took the session into the next gear, sharing his insights on the evolution of communications with firm stress on trends in electronics, VLSI, embedded system, communicastion, etc.
The session was concluded with the idea of focusing on new ideas in IT and the results of their likely merger with IT to produce some new exciting results. The students learnt to appreciate the role of IT in modern life and many of them even wished to make technology easier to understand and take it to the layman in the simplest manner.
