The Corporate Resource Cell organized a guest lecture with focus on enhancing modern day knowledge invited Mr. Suketu Nayak to present his views in the form of a resourceful lecture on the topic of Cloud Computing and IOT on 26th and 28th March,2016. The students studying in B.Tech 6th CSE & IT, B.Tech 4rd CSE & IT, Diploma 6th CS/IT, MCA-IV, B.Sc – CS-IV were the chief beneficiaries from this lecture.
Mr. Suketu Nayak is M. Tech and UGC NET qualified. He has over 8 years work experience. He is working as a Microsoft Evangelist in Microsoft India especially on Azure Technology. He has an expertise in Microsoft related products like Microsoft Cloud Services, Microsoft server technologies, Microsoft API programming, Microsoft Azure Services, Microsoft SQL Server expertise and internet of Things.
The first topic of the day revolved around the industry wide topic of Cloud Computing. The course of the discussion included a variety of topics like an introduction of cloud services, the use of software with a focus on service and the relevance of modern cloud computing as a ready to use device with worldwide availability and usability and the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer
The second part of the discussion focused on Filezilla Introduction and Website Upload on cloud. In this session, the speaker took the show to the students and let them speak more about their understanding and relevance of Web Uploads and its relevance in modern life. The speaker introduced IOT and also went on to explain the concepts of Dreamspark, managing Microsoft azure cloud account and an introduction on how to join as a learning partner and a live demonstration of raspberry pi.
The students raised some interesting career related questions and got to understand a lot about modern day cloud computing and saw live demonstrations related to Microsoft server which made it easy to see a live implementation of their education.
