Corporate Resource Cell (CRC) at Rai University, Ahmedabad organized a guest lecturer and with great fortune found a duo of IT Genii in Mr. Himanshu Dogra and Mr. Prince Dabhi as the two guest lecturers for an interesting lecture on the topic of Linux and Open Sources for the students pursuing B.Tech (CSE), Diploma (CS/IT), B.sc (CS) & MCA on 16th February, 2015.
Mr. Himanshu Dogra is B.Tech Graduate and also RHCE, RHCSS, CCNA, RH318 Certified. He has been conducting seminars on Ethical Hacking and Security Awareness, Cloud computing and Linux Technology since three years. He has experience in delivering online training to diverse participants in Projects, while Mr. Prince Dabhi is M.Sc. Computer Networking Graduate from UK and also RHCE, CEH Certified. He has been conducting seminars and workshops since one year. He has experience in delivering online training to diverse participants from Project Trainee Engineers to foreign clients
The session was initiated with the description of Linux what it is, how it is installed, used, how to use Linux Command, how to make Linux commands, types of Linux distribution, the open source community. The next topic in line was regarding ethical hacking like how you can be hacked, how to secure network, how hacking can be possible, TCP/IP Concepts review, Network and Computer Attacks, Ethical Hacking Overview and Foot printing and Social Engineering, UNIX, etc.
The students were brought to the light in learning about offensive strategies where students learn the art of exploiting Web applications so they can find flaws in enterprise Web apps before they are otherwise discovered and exploited. Finally students learnt to explore various other Web app vulnerabilities in-depth with tried-and-true techniques for finding them using a structured testing regimen and modern hacking tactics.
